Time-based Contractual Availability

Contractual Time-Based Availability provides the ratio between available time and total time, based on the status categories defined in the inverter's availability contracts.

Allocation of available time and unavailable time is based on contract categories. Each category specifies whether the time of a status event should be allocated to available time or unavailable time (or excluded altogether). Contractual categories have a priority, which is used to determine how to allocate the time period when statuses from multiple categories are active at the same time.

is the amount of time when the inverter is available

Tu

is the amount of time when the inverter is unavailable

For each time period, the inverter is considered available, unless:

  • There is an active status, where the set category of that status determines that the period is unavailable or excluded.

  • The there is an active status that is an uncategorized stop so the period is considered unavailable.

  • There is no status and Pactual <=0 and I > cut-inIA so the period is considered unavailable.

  • There is no status and I <= Cut-inIA ( or if cut-inIA is not defined). In this case the setting Irradiance below cut-in in the availability contract determines whether the period is available, unavailable, or excluded.

  • There is no status and Pactual <=0. In this case the setting No status event and no power output in the availability contract determines whether the period is available, unavailable, or excluded.

In this example, you can see that that there is a short stop status for the inverter. The status is set as unavailable according to the availability contract, so the availability goes down during the period.
