Resource Index (Inverter)

Resource Index (inverter) measures the weather conditions to show the amount of actual irradiation compared to forecast irradiation. Weather conditions are monitored by the climate station (consisting of pyranometers, temperature sensors, wind mast, humidity sensors, etc.). This lets you know how much weather is to blame when your production is less than expected.

Resource Index = Actual Irradiation / Budgeted Irradiation

Important

For IPR/OPR/Resource index/Weather-adjusted budget to work, the following need to be configured:

  1. Reference pyranometers with data on each inverter OR any pyranometer on the site with data OR the Solargis add-on

  2. Irradiation forecast on each inverter.

  3. Default Energy budget on each inverter.

Data Cleaning is used for Solar Irradiation Reference. Since solar irradiance has a minimum threshold of 0.1, the irradiation signal should never be 0 (or below). This is why we show N/A even when actual irradiation = 0.

is the Solar Irradiation Forecast

Resource Index is best visualised in daily or monthly resolution, as the Actual irradiation will only have daylight values and the Irradiation forecast only has a monthly value, evenly distributed over the time steps.
