Potential Power Signals (Wind)

Potential power measures how much power your asset should theoretically be able to output.

The potential power of a wind turbine is calculated using a power curve or a set of reference turbines.

Following are the supported Potential Power signals for Wind:

Potential power is often used in other calculations. If the requested potential power value is not available, the calculations will fall back to another potential power.

This order will be used for potential power based on the manufacturer's power curve:

  1. Manufacturer’s power curve

  2. Learned power curve

  3. Reference turbines.

This order will be used for potential power based on the learned power curve:

  1. Learned power curve

  2. Manufacturer’s power curve

  3. Reference turbines.
