Performance Index

The Performance Index (PI) is the ratio of the actual energy production of the inverter over the theoretical energy (as defined by the selecting potential power method).

PI can be used to find inverters that under-perform during normal operation.

Required metadata field:

  • Performance irradiance cut-in

E is the Energy Export (Eexport) from the inverter with a fallback to the inverter’s Power AC (P):

I is the Solar Irradiance Reference Inverter

Cut-inIP is Performance Irradiance Cut-in

T is the device resolution in hours

Pcasc is the Cascading potential power performance
