Curtailment

Use Administrate > Curtailment, to decide how curtailment schemes will affect system availability, both time-based and production-based availability.

By default, only Stop events are taken into account for system availability calculations. You can also create multiple curtailment schemes, which can then be applied to different wind farms or solar sites.

Follow these steps to configure the curtailment settings.

  1. Go to Administrate > Curtailment.

  2. Click Add Scheme.

  3. Name your curtailment scheme and enter a brief description.

  4. Reorder the priority of the curtailment types by clicking the vertical three dot menu of the curtailment type you want to reorder. Drag the curtailment type to its new priority order.

    Note

The curtailment types are prioritized in ascending numerical order. Reordering the priority of curtailment types will not affect the order of the priority numbers.

  5. Enable the Compensation toggle if the curtailment type entitles you to third-party compensation.

    Note

Lost production for the curtailment period will be added to the data signal Virtual Production.

  6. Enable the Override stops toggle to allow the curtailment to be used in availability calculations when its occurrence overlaps with a stop.

  7. Enable the Referencable toggle if turbines can be used as references while curtailed. This makes it possible to accurately visualize and report on Lost Production to Downtime, even during curtailment periods.

  8. Select how the curtailment type should be represented in the time-based system availability calculation. The options are Default, Available, and Unavailable.

  9. Select how the curtailment type should be represented in the production-based system availability calculation. The options are Default, Available, and Unavailable.

    Note

If you select Unavailable, the curtailment events will have the same impact Stops have. By default, the curtailment events do not reduce availability.

  10. Click Discard in the top right corner if you want to discard your changes to the curtailment settings.

    Note

Discard will revert back to your last saved settings configuration.

  11. Click Save.
